Yesterday we were very excited to hear we’d been named as the first – and only – Australian company on Millward Brown BrandZ,  Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands, study.

Not only were we in stellar brand company, but ahead of brands like Pepsi and Volkswagen.

Value and performance

What is interesting about this list – and what we’re particularly proud of, is that the study not only looks at a company’s financial data and performance, but also takes into consideration what people think of the brand, and the brand’s value in the marketplace. Too often, brands are recognized for creative execution rather than a balance of out-of-the-box thinking and business results. Moreover, any brand performance has to be firmly rooted in business strategy and ours is – creating value for customers through service excellence.

And, you are the reason we have been working exceptionally hard to create technologies, initiatives and programs, which deliver the best customer experience.

The last twelve months have been a whirlwind – we’ve launched CommBank Kaching , which has now been downloaded over 300,000 times; announced plans of a major update to our ATM network, the largest in the country; set up programs supporting local businesses and provided them with real-time and easier access to funds; and we’ve continued our commitment to support local communities through our Community Seeds and Community Grants programs.

You are our number one priority

Over the next twelve months we’re going to be committed to our four focus capabilities – technology, people, strength and productivity, which underpin our number one priority: customer focus. We are constantly looking at ways to evolve our technology, our programs and our products to deliver the best customer experience.

We know that is the best way for us to make the list again next year.
