Bangarra Dance Theatre is Australia’s leading Indigenous performing arts company and we have supported them for four years, and have been their 20th Anniversary partner in 2012.
The sponsorship is part of our Reconciliation Action Plan. We believe that it’s important to support and promote an understanding and appreciation of Indigenous culture to truly achieve reconciliation.
We are the national tour partner of TERRAIN, which opens in Sydney on 18 July, before touring to Wollongong, Adelaide, Canberra and Brisbane.
Hymn to country
Terrain combines the spirituality of traditional culture with modern story-telling and aims to capture the timeless wonder and spiritual resonance of Lake Eyre.
Described as a hymn to country, Terrain transports us to Lake Eyre. Bangarra explores the relationship of Indigenous people to country and how the lake becomes a second skin
Beyond the ancient vastness, we travel through drought and deluge, we witness the ephemeral transformation of place where nature delivers in abundance, promises all but guarantees nothing.
Bangarra is committed to developing the next generation of Indigenous story tellers through mentoring and training of creative Indigenous young people.
