Small businesses account for more than third of Australia’s economy and provide employment for almost half the workforce. To recognise and help support the role that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play in our country, we’ve announced the launch of the BetterBusiness Booster, a new competition to give SMEs the chance to win over $30,000 worth of business support.

Win a $30,000 business package

From today, we’re inviting SMEs and the public to nominate either a business they own, work in or admire for a BetterBusiness Booster. Finalists will receive both a cash injection and a trip to Sydney to meet with senior finance experts, as well as a featured profile and video hosted on the Commonwealth Bank Business Facebook page.  The overall winner will also be rewarded with a package worth over $30,000 including a one year dedicated business coaching program with Peter Switzer and $10,000 cash.

“Small businesses are the backbone of the Australian economy, so it’s important that we continue to support their growth and development,” said Matt Comyn, Executive General Manager of Local Business Banking.

“Our BetterBusiness Booster will give SMEs the chance to benefit from something quite special and which for many businesses could make quite a difference to their day-to-day operations.”

Submit your nomination

In order to nominate, entrants are invited to submit in 200 words or less why the business in question could do with a BetterBusiness Booster. Nominations are open for the next three weeks, after which an expert judging panel will name five businesses as finalists. All participating businesses are also invited to take part in a free Business Review, available through the nomination form.

Once the finalists are selected, we will be coming back to the public to ask them which business they believe deserves to win the Grand Prize. Stay tuned as there will also be a very special prize for those throwing their support behind their favourite business, with one lucky voter taking home $10,000.

To start nominating, visit the BetterBusiness Booster competition tab on our Business Facebook  page today.
